Dance Contact Improvisation
Since 2011, he has been teaching Contact Improvisation through regular workshops, masterclasses, and festivals in France and in many other countries.
His dance training was shaped through extensive travel and collaboration with numerous teachers of Contact Improvisation, Instant Composition, and somatic practices.
For the past few years, teaching CI has been his main professional activity.
His approach to body dynamics is inspired by movements found in nature, from microcosm to macrocosm, with a particular interest in the five elements and spiral forms.
He is also a dance performer, geologist, and geobiologist.
His practice includes meditation, contemplative dance, and authentic movement, and he places great importance on poetry and the invisible dimensions of dance.
WORKSHOP:
CONTACT IMPROVISATION – THE FLUIDITY OF ENCOUNTER
This Contact Improvisation workshop is open to everyone, regardless of movement experience. We will explore giving and receiving through the relationship of physical contact with another person.
We will refine weight-sharing with a partner while maintaining freedom in our own dance and respect for the other’s movement.
Through playful exploration, we will follow the unfolding of the point of contact, seeking subtle pathways that avoid resistance in the body.
Our focus will be on the pelvic girdle, the shoulder girdle, and the head. By weaving gravity into these contact spaces, we will gradually explore lifts, always in service of fluidity, connection, and the shared dance.
